NEWS: Natascha Mair - Just for the record!
Natascha Mair, a principal with the Vienna State Ballet, has published this sincere and emotional statement just a while ago on Facebook:
“A new chapter in my life has started.
I am so happy to announce that I am joining the English National Ballet as a Principal Dancer. I am so grateful to be a part of this incredible company and look forward to learning and growing every day. Thank you Tamara Rojo for giving me this special opportunity to work with you and your team. You set a big example to the ballet world and I am very excited to get inspired and learn from you
My past 8 years at the Vienna State Ballet have thought me so much and I feel ready to start this new challenge. A huge thank you and all my love to Manuel Legris who helped me grow up as a dancer and become who I am today. ! I will always keep every single memory and every lesson you thought me in my heart! I miss you and hope to meet you and work with you again.”
To be quite frank, I must say “Our loss, England’s gain!” - Great Britain is leaving the European Union but is getting someone who is very dear to the Viennese audiences: Miss Mair!
“attitude” wishes our dear Natascha just the best for this new, exciting period of her career and says THANKS for all the joy you have given us!
We will definitely miss you on stage - but London is not that far… and isn’t it high time for “attitude” to start visiting other sceneries again? The best of luck and (to be very British) “God bless”!
