Be Welcome.

Here it is all about dance - contemplated from many different angles - and about looking at things differently.

Political correctness: Quo vadis?

Political correctness: Quo vadis?

Just yesterday I have heard a woman saying that the expression “Black Friday” is racist! Really! Will expressions like “Black Widow”, “Black Power”, “Black Bird” (and the song), “Black Market”, “Black Cholocate cake” be forgotten and forbidden?

If things continue this way, very soon we will not be able to see a white and a black Swan anymore.

This absurdity can naturally also get worse: when will feminists start saying that the use of point shoes and tutús is insulting to women? The same with being supported during a pas de deux, being taken by the hand by the male partner to bow? When will they start criticizing and fighting against Giselle, Fairies, Sylphides, Willis, Swans, Slaves in a Harem and ballets like Sheherazade, The Nutcracker, Manon and Petrushka etc. etc. and forbid them?

To be quite honest with you: can we please get back to normal intelligent behaviour? Honestly…
